4eva Florence

Exhibited at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery

Silver silhouettes cast leafy patterns across the Vault walls. Their intricate shapes are cut from metallised film. Used in greenhouses to reflect light onto plants, this film was also used by Mt Perry-born designer Florence Broadhurst (1899-1977) in her opulent metallic wallpapers.

4eva Florence stems from a residency at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery using imagery of local flora and fauna to create a sparkling celebration of nature whilst paying homage to the lasting creative impact of Broadhurst.
